Lynda is Carroll Consulting’s Managing Director and primary shareholder. She has worked for over twenty years in Senior Management and Consulting roles interfacing with Chief Executives, Senior Managers, Boards and key shareholders/ stakeholders. These roles have been within the private, not for profit and state sector in New Zealand and internationally.
Lynda established Carroll Consulting 14 years ago when she returned to her home town of Wellington. Prior to this she held the role of Managing Consultant for Development Dimensions International (DDI) in New Zealand and Melbourne; was General Manager, Human Resources for the Ministry of Forestry; and Corporate Services Manager for the Early Childhood Development Unit.
Lynda’s experience has required her to demonstrate strategic “blue sky” thinking and strong commercial and business acumen. Her success has been built on her ability to build strong, mutually beneficial business relationships and being known as someone who delivers results. Lynda’s style is one of empowering leadership, focusing on her team’s strengths and supporting them to be the best they can be.
Lynda has over 15 year’s governance experience including success as Chair; Deputy Chair; Member of an Audit, Risk and Finance Committee; Chair of a Performance and Remuneration Committee; member of the Tertiary Sector Review Committee and member of a Sponsorship and Funding Committee.
Lynda’s networks have been established through associations such as the Institute of Directors, New Zealand Institute of Management, Institute of Public Administration of New Zealand, and the Human Resource Institute of New Zealand. She is a chartered Director with the Institute of Directors; an Associate Fellow of NZIM and a NZIM Mentor.
Lynda is currently on the NZ Army Leadership Board and Chair of Wellington Choir Nota Bene.
